A Global Cultural Event that Promotes Peaceful Coexistence and Intercultural Dialogue
The Artiade – Olympics of Art, from November 15th to 25th in New York, unites the art world from over 100 countries. From prominent names in the art scene, Hollywood celebrities, and Wimbledon winners who now devote themselves to visual arts, to artists from the smallest villages in Africa – they have all come together to participate in this Art Olympiad.
“With outstanding works and an impressive number of applicants, our expectations for New York have been far exceeded,” said Renate Westhoff, founder and initiator of the Artiade. “It is the talents and perspectives that each artist brings with their creative vision that make the Artiade a celebrated Olympics of Art.“
With its diversity of countries, the Artiade brings a wealth of emotions, traditions, and societal events to the global stage. It serves as an example of harmony and understanding, which is of great importance in today’s world. “Therefore, the active participation of our sponsoring partners is not only a valuable support for the art and artists from all over the world but also a clear expression of the commitment to peace.” This art event debuted in 1996, parallel to the Olympic Games in Atlanta, and has since developed into a significant cultural event that unites nations through the universal language of art.
